CALHOUN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH CELEBRATES NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK IN APRIL. IT’S A GREAT TIME TO CONSIDER WHAT PUBLIC HEALTH REALLY MEANS TO THE COMMUNITY. THEY PREVENT DISEASE BY PROMOTING GOOD HEALTH WITHIN GROUPS OF PEOPLE. FROM VACCINATION AND PARENT SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS TO ORAL SCREENING AND CLASSES THAT EDUCATE THE PUBLIC TO BE SELF SUSTAINABLE, LOCAL PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENTS WORK HARD TO ENSURE OUR COMMUNITY IS A HEALTHIER, SAFER PLACE TO LIVE AND RAISE KIDS.
